Rebecca Minkoff’s Fall 2020

Rebecca Minkoff’s Fall 2020 collection infuses glam rock flare with soft, bohemian accents. Rebecca continues to tell the story of the modern woman in all moments of her life, and highlights her multifaceted personality of hard and soft, masculine and feminine, and everything in between. The collection aligns with Rebecca Minkoff’s core brand DNA: the juxtaposition of style between East Coast and West Coast. Rebecca Minkoff’s Fall 2020 collection exudes the casual, effortless aesthetic the brand is known for. It comes to life through seasonal plaids, leopard, florals, and strong leather statement pieces. The collection includes shirt jackets, voluminous sleeves, ruffle details, and Rebecca’s signature leather moto jacket. "I always find myself going back to music as a jumping off point for my inspiration season after season. For my Fall 2020 collection, I wanted to capture the essence of the Rebecca Minkoff girl who is multifaceted in all aspects of her life" describes the designer, Rebecca Minkoff. The handbags that complete each look include saddle bags, studded crossbodies, fringe buckets, and styles that incorporate moto detailing. This season’s set design was concepted with the idea that New York City deserves a love letter during these difficult times, and that our cultural institutions are part of the four walls we call our home. Rebecca celebrates the incredible music scene that exists in New York City and will continue to inspire people for generations to come.

But I’ve also seen, time and time again, people in the front row who don’t act with the respect that the position deserves. Oversized phones blocking cameras, endless live-streaming, distracted chatter during the show — these habits take away from the experience. A fashion show is not a stage for ego. It’s a celebration of art, and the front row is a privilege, not a playground. That said, let’s not forget an important truth: every row matters.
