MARCHESA

Marchesa Couture S/S21 draws inspiration from an imagined tropical island dreamworld in bold color. Combining romance with the natural effortlessness and glamorous beauty of summertime.

Palm color choices and vibrant teal, aqua and mint mix with jewel tones in hot pink, magenta and fuchsia. Hand-painted jungle motifs with oversized painterly tropical flowers and deliberate accents in yellow, burnt orange and tangerine are offset on crisp white ground, like clean fresh air. Highlights of lavender and amethyst sequins with flashes of green are seen in embroidery layered over large scale tonal prints, creating a rich tapestry of color, made to want to touch. Unique tropical guipure laces are allowed to dictate shape and cut in a variety of shapes, from easy to wear shifts - to all-over scatter embroidered tea length gowns with 3D Flower appliqués adorning the neckline.

S/S21 is universally recognizable for Marchesa signatures, designed to include sculptural detail, intricate and lavish embroideries on lightweight transparent grounds as well as luxurious silk solids. It is fluid and tactile, daring and seductive. Beautiful in movement and stillness, ruffles and feathers are created side by side with modern and easy to wear shapes in lustrous silk organza, soft matte and shiny crepe, twill, cotton poplin and satin mikado. The true craftsmanship that is part of the Marchesa heritage is seen throughout in play with voluminous couture shape and juxtaposed silhouettes. Sleek lines are paired with dramatic skirts and masterful organically draped signature pieces honor our DNA. All are created to be kept forever.
