York Launches Cocktail and Evening Dress Collection ‘Joie de Vivre’ at
Couture Fashion Week New York
Indomitable Manhattanite artist and designer Alexandra Popescu-York
marks her eighth consecutive appearance at Couture Fashion Week New
York with the launch of the Spring-Summer 2018 cocktail and evening
dress collection ‘Joie de Vivre’. Ms. Popescu-York’s one-of-a-kind fashion
creations never cease to amaze, offering each time a fresh new look with
avant-garde components that have become part of the designer’s
signature: rare materials, ultra bright and edgy makeup, outstanding
hairdos and show-stopping accessories such as frames and jewel-encrusted
mouth pieces. This upcoming showcase will be no exception, pushing the
boundaries of fashion design into new territories that involve crystal
lighting appliances and the like!
The ‘Joie de Vivre’ show will be held at 6:00 pm on Sunday, September10th
2017, in the Broadway Ballroom of the Crowne Plaza Times Square
Manhattan.
For seven consecutive CFWNY seasons, Ms. Popescu-York has blown away
critics and audiences with dazzling fashion and monumental art collections
illustrating her prolific imagination, extraordinary boldness and arduous
work channeled into elaborate, symbolic depictions of finely-selected
themes, such as: ‘Modern Warrior Queen’, the capsule wardrobe collection
of timeless essentials ‘Tour du Monde’ (‘World Tour’), ‘Unleashed’ – a
unique tribute to the emblematic New Yorker–, ‘Âme de l’Artiste’ (‘Soul of
the Artist’), “Phoenix – The Legend”, “Metropolitan” – inspired by some of
the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s history, civilization and art highlights –,
